As of January 1st of 2012 No ONE will be able to do medical interpretation without a nationally recognized interpreter certification. It is a 40-hour professional medical training course that was designed and developed by Cross Cultural Health Care Program (CCHCP) located in Seattle, WA. This course is nationally known and recognized. Autism Program Clinical Coordinator

Ivymount School is a non public special education day school serving students ages 4 -- 21 whose disabilities include developmental delays, speech/language deficits, learning disabilities, health impairments, and autism/PDD. THE AUTISM PROGRAM
The Ivymount Autism Program serves students with ASD ages 4 to 22. We currently serve 50 students in our Elementary and Secondary Division. We are a community based program providing a functional life skills curriculum, language rich programming and research based assessment, education, and treatment. We also serve as a training site for ABA instructors who participate in our intensive training program. We provide BCBA supervision and work with university programs to provide course work toward certification.

Our mission is to provide individuals with autism and their families improved quality of life by helping each student achieve his or her full potential. We do this through individualized student-focused programming using research-based procedures. Additionally, the program maintains a strong commitment to the advancement of research in the education and treatment of individuals with autism and within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Our Students
Our students are diagnosed with Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder and Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD/NOS). Our students require highly specialized learning aids and accommodations. They achieve a wide variety of skills as the result of thoughtful modifications and supports. Ivymount Autism Program graduates receive a certificate based on participation in a community-based, functional life skills curriculum.
Language Rich Programming
Teachers model and shape language, as well as capture and contrive language opportunities across all settings. We also feel that community-based instruction is a critical component of our language and social skills programming. Language opportunities do not exist only within our school walls; they take place everywhere the students are: in the library, on the playground, during community outings, at job sites. Teachers participate in intensive annual and ongoing training from our Speech and Language consultant and her Speech and Language Team. In addition, our Speech and Language Team provides weekly classroom trainings, ongoing curriculum reviews, and supports the classroom teams with projects such as programming alternative communication devices or designing adapted books for reading activities

The three-year position will require extensive travel to the Middle East and occasion travel to Africa.

Background:
The U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Further Advancing the Blue Revolution Initiative (FABRI) will strengthen regional platforms for integrated water resources management; promote implementation of successful approaches, systems, and practices to improve agricultural water management; foster transboundary water cooperation; and improve water and sanitation utility performance and financial viability. FABRI emphasizes partnerships--between and among the scientific community, governments, universities and research institutions, the private sector, and civil society--to achieve the project's goals and to ensure that the water sector in the Middle East and North Africa is capable of sustaining, and building on, those achievements after the project has closed. It will forge intellectual and financial partnerships among the water sector's major players to create an integrated process that spans the identification and design of new approaches and technologies to their production and adoption.
Position Description:
Working closely with FABRI Team, the primary focus of the work of the Expert will be to raise funds for the newly created Middle East and North Africa Network of Water Centers of Excellence (MENA NWC). To succeed and prosper, the Network must have a reliable revenue stream which comes in part from an adequately capitalized Endowment Fund designed by FABRI. And it must transition to financial dependence. In addition, the Expert will support FABRI's private sector efforts in Africa, particularly in the area of support to local sanitation service providers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Design and lead an aggressive fundraising campaign for the Middle East and North Africa Network of Centers of Excellence to make it financially sustainable and independent
• Design, develop, and implement FABRI efforts in private sector investment and participation to foster partnerships with and its members, including the capitalization of the
MENA NWC Endowment Fund
• Oversee and substantively participate in the design and implementation of the Action Plan for the full scale establishment of MENA NWC
• Organize and implement fundraising efforts aimed at attracting donor funding, charitable contributions, grants, and corporate contributions in the US, Europe, and the Middle East
• Work closely with teams of expert advisors in designing and implementing fundraising efforts, events and strategies including the development of proposals, video, and social media to meet fundraising targets
• Capture best practices and lessons learned for FABRI's knowledge sharing initiatives
• Participate in project planning and review meetings
• Participate in and contribute to overall project strategies for increased private sector participation
• Contribute to all quarterly and annual progress reports
• Participate in regular project internal monitoring and evaluation efforts
Qualifications:
The Private Sector Development Expert should have the flowing minimum experience and qualifications:
• MBA, MPA, PhD or other advanced graduate degree in business, finance, or other relevant discipline relevant to the position
• At least 10 years of experience and demonstrated success in similar development and fundraising roles and designing and implementing fundraising campaigns targeted at corporate partners as well as donor organizations, foundations, and other contributors
• Demonstrable experience working with financial institutions and investment funds to mobilize finance for projects, organizations and associations similar to the MENA Network
• Experience organizing high level events with senior political and financial leaders and creating appropriate collateral for such events
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Team Members in various geographic and technical settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience working with USAID and relevant knowledge and experience in the water sector and/or the Middle East/Africa desired

Part Time Clinical Nurse Practitioner (Bethesda, MD)
Health services government contractor is currently seeking a part-time Clinical Nurse Practitioner for a Neurosurgery Program at a government treatment facility in Bethesda.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master of Nursing degree with at least 2 years of Post-Surgical In-patient Care experience and a current valid license to legally practice as a nurse practitioner in one of the 50 states in the United States, or the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory.
Critical Care and/or Neurology experience preferred.
Completed an Adult Nurse Practitioner training program that is accredited by the applicable State Board of Nursing Examiners.
Must possess a controlled substances registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) IAW the laws of the state in which license is held.
Working knowledge of military culture, customs, and procedures including military profiles and retention of Active Duty personnel.
Shall be competent to treat adults for crisis intervention and ongoing medical management.
Ability to effectively communicate with health providers at all levels and to provide professional assistance to health care finders in making referrals to appropriate health care providers.
Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Certification must be by American Heart Association and individual must demonstrate ability to initiate CPR in event of respirator or cardiopulmonary arrest.
Must pass required criminal history and background check as well as complete the SF 85-P ("Questionnaire For Public Trust Positions"). Current security clearance and CAC holders are preferred.

Maintains and documents inpatient and outpatient medical records IAW with DoD policies and procedures appropriate to the function.
As a healthcare resource, expertly interface with clinical care team members to facilitate cost efficient and quality interventions. Make recommendations to ensure patients receive medically necessary appropriate care in the appropriate clinical setting.
Quality Improvement shall include the following responsibilities:
Assist in quality improvement data collection and review
Help with problem solving regarding quality improvement issues
Participate in multidisciplinary functional groups and process action teams as needed
Uphold established patient care and practice standards
Participate in ongoing review of clinic policies and procedures and make appropriate revisions as required
Review and submit reports as required
Participate in all mandatory training
Responds to cardiopulmonary arrest as appropriate and arranges appropriate back up from the MTF clinical staff and/or from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as appropriate.
Schedule: 24 hours per week total. Works one On-call 24 hour shift per week at the facility. Flexibility switch to day shift to fill in during vacancies may be required. Position available immediately.
