We take pride in the interiors and EXTERIORS of our buildings. Every year we upgrade/maintain the landscaping on our buildings (landscape walls, mulch, shrubbery, etc.). There is always work that needs to be done. This can be either full or part time depending on one's motivation and drive to find work and improvements.

Assistant Controller (Hilliard, OH)

Description:
The Assistant Controller is expected to oversee the daily operations of the finance department. The duties and responsibilities are subject to change, accommodating a small and growing company. The primary responsibility is to provide leadership and coordination inside the Finance Department. Responsibilities include:
• Establish and implement short and long range departmental goals, and objectives
• Responsible for all activities in Accounts Payable. Ensuring all appropriate vendor discounts are deducted, timely payments of vendor invoices are completed and maintain accurate records and control reports
• Review all Account Receivable buyer invoices for accuracy
• Manage and guarantee biweekly disbursement of multi-state payroll, monthly commission and quarterly bonuses
• Assist with enrolling the company in state income tax, state unemployment tax and workers compensation across multiple states
• Update and maintain payroll and time & attendance system
• Review and insure accuracy on all payroll tax reports
• Partner with HR in improving/enhancing payroll and benefits systems and processes
• Prepare appropriate accounting transactions and documents needed for transactions
• Process company deposits using the Remote Deposit Capture
• Reconciles company bank account on monthly basis
• Responsible for pulling information for yearly audit and tax return preparation
• Ensuring compliance with annual reporting filings
• Manage monthly closing of financial records
• Creation and posting of month end journal entries
• Assist in preparing annual budget
• Create and update a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
An ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
• 3-5 years in a senior Finance or Accounting position
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
• Previous experience working with an ERP and/or Accounting Software is preferred
• Must have CPA license
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong time management skills with ability to prioritize while working on multiple projects
• Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team
• Must be a very organized, detail oriented professional
• Excellent technical, oral and written communication skills, as well as strong supervisory skills
