A dependable, professional personal assistant is needed for a general practice veterinarian. This is a long term position and the doctor is willing to invest time teaching a committed candidate. Hours: PART TIME (1-31 hrs weekly) – Thursdays, Fridays, and 2 or more Saturdays each month. (Candidate should be flexible and willing to work additional hours to mirror the doctor’s schedule)

Preferred qualifications:
-Active medical clerk license (or willingness to obtain)
-experience as a veterinary assistant or medical assistant
-technical skills including venipuncture and animal restraint.
A typical day may include:
-greeting surgery patients
-assisting in blood collection and catheter placement
-anesthetic monitoring
-transcribing a history from a client
- preparing and submitting laboratory samples
-calling owners with lab results
-submitting pharmacy requests
-attending a networking or community event planning meeting
-helping to keep the doctor organized, efficient, and on-time
-educating an owner on ear cleaning and medication administration
-assisting a co-worker with cleaning kennels or filing paperwork
-giving a 2 minute presentation at a team meeting

Stylish Box Office Hostess (Redmond Town Center)

Big Picture the most original theatre and event venue is looking for a stylish hostess/host for our Redmond Town Center location. Greet customers, manage the crowd, sell theatre tickets, help with drink deliveries during the films and you must know how to use a broom. Work Part time with a set schedule on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Weekdays shifts start at approx. 4:45-5:00pm. Shifts end approx. 9:30pm. On Saturdays work afternoons and evenings till approx. 9:30pm. We sometimes need coverage on Sunday afternoons. Enjoy free parking. Due to our hospital being a referral center for many other veterinarians (large and small animal), the lab work schedule may not always be convenient and may require you to adjust your daily schedule appropriately.
Job Summary:
Provide accurate and timely lab results to the veterinarians within all departments at both hospitals. Conduct a variety of tests (CBC/Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Fecal analysis, ELISA and AGID testing, and Microbiology) for these departments, while working in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Order supplies, maintain lab records and bill each department as appropriate, other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of: General medical laboratory procedures in a veterinary clinical setting including microbiology; common computer skills and applications (MS Word, Excel).
Education: Bachelor of Science or Medical Laboratory Technologist degree
Experience: Recent experience in a clinical laboratory setting, veterinary experience preferred.
