EMH Opinion Sampling is a professional Market Research firm doing business in Sacramento since 1990. We are conveniently located in midtown Sacramento at the corner of 21st and N Streets. We are currently hiring individuals to conduct public opinion studies over the phone.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is PART TIME EVENINGS and WEEKENDS working out of our outbound call center. You will be conducting public opinion studies over the phone in our mid town office. The studies will be in areas of public policy, education, consumer satisfaction. 98% of our work has to do with some form of politics. You would be calling people asking them for their opinions, and there are NO sales involved. This is not a telemarketing position. We pay $8.00 per hours.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
We offer evening and weekend shifts: Monday -- Thursday 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Sunday 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm

You are asked to work a minimum of 4 shifts per week WHICH MUST INCLUDE BOTH THE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SHIFTS and 2 week night shifts OR you are welcome to work all 6 shifts available.

REQUIREMENTS:

~ YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE

~ YOU MUST BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE. SOME COLLEGE PREFERRED.

~ CALL CENTER EXPERIENCE A PLUS.

~ COMFORTABLE WORKING IN A FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT

~ EXCELLENT READING AND COMPREHENSION SKILLS. You MUST be able to read extremely well. If you can read the front page of the newspaper out loud, and don't stumble on any of the wording, then please apply. If you can't, this is not the position for you.

LIGHT TYPING. You will be using a computer in this position to record the answers to the survey questions, so you must know how to type.

ABILITY TO WORK BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SHIFTS. This is mandatory. If you can not work Saturdays from 9 am till 2 pm and Sundays from 2 pm until 9 pm, DO NOT APPLY. You must be available for the entire shift.

We are a local agency working with fertility clinics in the San Francisco Bay area. We are very busy with intended parents hoping to find the right young woman to help them begin their family. Because we are local, most of our donors are able to continue working or going to school during the process.

There are many reasons young women choose to donate. Many know someone who has struggled to get pregnant and has not been able to, or she can imagine what that would be like to need another person to step forward to help. Our role is that we are an agency that acts as a matching service. We work with many clinics in the bay area. Our focus is to help young women to educate themselves about this process with no pressure to continue if it doesn't feel right to them.

To begin the educational process, the basic idea is that women who are age 20-29 can help another woman to finally get pregnant. A young woman is at her peak fertility years so the gift of her eggs leads to the highest rates of success for in-vitro fertilization. This is the same in-vitro process that thousands of women around the world every year go through in order to try to have a baby. The eggs a young women gives (which would have normally been reabsorbed into her body, never to be used again) are fertilized using the father's sperm in an in-vitro process, and the resulting embryo is implanted into the intended mom so that she is able to get pregnant and be the biological mother. This is truly a case where the miracle of science meets the miracle of life! The joy of finally being able to have a baby after wanting one for so long is hard to imagine!

We believe that this can be a win/win situation for all involved, however it does require someone to take the time to educate themselves about the process.
