Customer Service/Barista – Part Time (Bakery in Sellwood)

Cravin Raven Bakery, a dedicated gluten, dairy, soy, corn, and white sugar free bakery, currently has 1 part-time opening available. The shift will be Tuesday-Saturday mornings. Tuesday-Friday the hours will be approximately, 7:15-12:30 and on Saturday from 7:30-noon.

JOB DUTIES include but are not limited to:

1. CUSTOMER SERVICE: This is the most important aspect of this position. We pride ourselves on making the customers experience special at our bakery. Employees are responsible for understanding the main food allergens and being able to engage in conversation with customers about those allergens and our products. Besides direct contact, you will also be handling phone inquires.

2. BARISTA DUTIES: Responsible for espresso drinks as well as smoothies. Upkeep and cleaning of the espresso machine.

3. OPENING/CLOSING DUTIES: Opening: Making coffee, Stocking supplies, setting up the bakery case, opening register, put out signs and get front area of tables ready.

4. PREP WORK FOR BAKED GOODS: Chopping & preparing fruit, chocolate, toppings etc. Also responsible for prepping the products in preparation for baking. Taking inventory of supplies needed.

5. CLEANING DUTIES: Daily cleaning, dishes, appliances, sweeping and mopping, recycling and trash.

6. WHOLESALE PACKAGING: Responsible for labeling packages and filling those packages for wholesale orders.

7. DELIVERIES/ERRANDS: You may be asked to deliver product for wholesale accounts/catering or to pick up needed ingredients.

SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Must have prior Customer Service Experience
- Previous barista skills a strong plus
- Previous prepping/baking skills a strong plus
- Must have a car for deliveries or errands
- Must be able to pass a background check & a drivers record check 
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb containers. Also must be able to stand for long periods of time as well as use your hands and arms for repetitive tasks.

Afternoon kitchen detail for preschool (downtown Portland)

Locally owned and operated child care center in Downtown Portland is looking for an afternoon kitchen detail person. This position is responsible for doing afternoon dishes, getting snack out on time, cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, sanitizing toys, cleaning and organizing basement staff area, and possibly subbing for the chef when she is ill or on vacation.     NOC Administrator (Portland, OR)

    Convergence Networks is a medium sized MSP in the Portland area looking for a well qualified Network Operations Center (NOC) Administrator to handle daily monitoring, patching, security, and administration for our client base of small and mid-sized businesses. The ideal candidate with have a strong technical background understanding Windows workstation and server platforms, including XP, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2003 and 2008, Event Logs, and the OSI model. Experience with Kaseya, Axcient Storage Solutions, encrypted emails or similar is preferred.

    NOC Administrators are an integral part of our technical staff and handle proactive alerts and real time alarms should a problem occur on one of our client's networks. NOC Administrators provide on the spot technical decision making, the ability to troubleshoot at the machine and network level, and possess a high sense of organization. Working within our NOC, daily duties include real-time monitoring for agent alarms, installation of new agents, deployment of our management tool to new clients, creating new Active Directory Group policies, troubleshooting agent problems, configuring agents for remote access by our clients, scheduling scripts to run, handling the imaging of new hard drives, and script development, validation, and deployment. A solid understanding of Windows patching methodologies, antivirus, spam filtering, email flow, Microsoft error event ID's, and firewall technologies is also preferred for this position.

    NOC staff members operate largely on their own, handling their list of responsibilities and escalating issues as necessary according to pre-defined procedures. Attention to detail and a strong sense of completeness is important. Convergence follows ITIL standards, so experience with the ITIL framework is preferred along with experience working in a change control environment.


    Ideal candidates will need the following skills:

    • Prior experience with Kaseya (preferred), NAGIOS, N-able, HP Openview, or similar monitoring tools
    • Ability to work with customers remotely
    • Excellent written communication and documentation abilities
    • Ability (technical and judgmental) to understand urgency and make decisions accordingly
    • Provide the highest level of customer service

    • Install new agents, remove old agents, and keep 5000 agents organized
    • Deploy new agent infrastructure to new clients by creating Active Directory Group Policy's to facilitate automatic deployment
    • Setup clients for remote access to their office machines via our management tool and communicate access instructions with the end user
    • Continually audit all agents, ensure all agents are part of the correct groups, and have the correct permissions
    • Document processes and non-standard agent requirements
