Part time Garden Center Merchandiser positions available in the Monroeville and East Liberty areas.

Merchandiser is responsible for the presentation and maintenance of live shrub, tree, & rose product in retail stores' garden centers. These are seasonal positions with the potential for year-round employment and benefits for those that consistently meet expectations.

Merchandiser Qualifications & Duties:
- Excellent daily communication skills
- Good organizational skills and ability to follow a planogram
- Positive attitude is a must
- Reliable transportation
- Able to work both independantly and with others
- Able to lift 40 lbs and plants consistently throughout the day
- Work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, hot, cold)
- Documentation of daily activities
- Display trees, shrubs, and other seasonal items in a large retail garden center
- General care of plant material (watering, signing, pruning)
- Maintaining a clean store appearance
- Customer service, response, and satisfaction

The work week is flexible and is dependent upon deliveries, but Monday, Friday, and Saturday or Sunday are required work days for the months of April-July.

You will be required to communicate with and work well with store employees, nurseries, and other co-workers. You're also responsible for verifying the product is in great condition and priced correctly, which includes making signs, watering plants, and keeping a clean working area. Unloading freight from packaging, racking, and/or pallets is also needed to present the customer with the best products through visual merchandising.

Stinchcomb Associates services many big box garden centers throughout the Midwest and East Coast. We are looking for motivated individuals with landscape experience or garden center experience, a desire to learn, add value to our company, and help make big box garden centers appealing and customer friendly.

-Using correct procedures to clean the bakery, slice bagels, and operate bakery equipment
-Prevent accidents before they happen by identifying and correcting safety hazards
-Support and follow all marketing programs and trends, while suggestively selling promotional items
-Ensure applicable paperwork is up to date
-Demonstrates and models an understanding to commitment to Bruegger's mission statement
-Properly opening and closing the bakery as scheduled according to Bruegger's policies and procedures
-Maintains floor control during shifts
-Demonstrates ability to increase guest satisfaction
-Accurately completes paperwork using BagelNet
-Supervises guest service at counter and at registers
-Successfully complete Bruegger's Training and Certification Program

Requirements
-Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
-At least one year of cash-handling and supervisory experience

Description: Position Summary:

The systems engineer position is professional position responsible for defining, designing, implementing and supporting Wintel Server solutions for employee and customer use. The position also proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the company's infrastructure services. This position designs, implements and maintains various systems including directory services, network operating systems, mail systems, enterprise anti-virus, Web Infrastructure Services and core infrastructure services, such as DNS and DHCP. The system engineer conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparison recommendations as part of the system development process. In addition the system engineer position defines, designs, implements and supports the infrastructure for customer facing web-based applications and services across development, QA and production environments.

Duties:
•Works as a lead or resource on internal and external projects as defined by management. Prioritizes assigned projects and develops project plans, requirements, architecture diagrams, deadlines etc. and reports progress and status on timely basis.
•Uses standard Corporate IT tools to monitor and maintain systems and network as per agreed service levels.
•Develops and documents server configuration and security standards in systems engineering arena.
•Adheres too, follows, recommends, updates and mentors junior staff members on standardized IT processes including project tracking/mgmt. time reporting, issue escalation, and change management.
•Builds, configures, replaces and troubleshoots Wintel server hardware and associated devices.
•Participates as a contributor to defense in depth security practices developing appropriate security recommendations and implementations at the server, desktop and network level.
•Performs total cost of ownership in solution development and adheres to industry best practices and standards.
•Participates in cross team design and troubleshooting sessions as a trusted infrastructure resource.
•Works with development staff in production application publishing and application launches as well as QA and PREPROD environment updates.
•Learns, troubleshoots and supports custom and off the shelf applications for employees and customers from a systems engineering position ensuring smooth transition of application issues to other departments, vendors and outsourced support services.
•Provide level 2 and level 3 support for escalated system issues
•Maintains technical knowledge and skill level as technology platforms and business initiatives change.
•Adheres to company policies and acts as a contributor to defense in depth security policies for Systems Engineering arena.
•Develops and maintains cross team relationships ensuring that the Systems Engineer position and Technical Operations team is looked to as a trusted partner for infrastructure services.

Qualifications: Experience, Education and Licensure

•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or four to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

•Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical documentation, literature and implementation materials.
•Ability to develop written documentation and project plans, respond to internal/external customer needs in writing and verbally via phone or in person relating complex technical issues and solutions to non-technical personnel.
•Ability to write initial question lists and answers "FAQ" for users to facilitate adoption of new technologies
•Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors

Requirements
• Understanding professional sales procedures and customer service.
• Passion for Health and Nutrition.
• At least one year of previous commission based sales experience required.
• One year of retail/customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in recommending and selling products as they relate to the wants and needs of the customer.
• Interpersonal skills in dealing with customers in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner.
• Ability to use a 10-key cash register and related business equipment.
• Open availability. Saturdays and Mondays are mandatory since those are our highest volume days.
