•Maintain ability to comply with all physical requirements, such as stand and walk for up to 8 hours without sitting or leaning while in full uniform, lifting 50 pounds, climbing 8 flights of stairs without assistance (rail), able to defend oneself and others against physical threats
•Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak fluent English in all modes of communication.

*You MUST have own cell phone and transportation.
•Outgoing interpersonal demeanor, ability to relate with diverse groups of people, and display good customer service skills

MUST OWN YOUR OWN HANDGUN(CAN NOT BE A HIGHPOINT)

MUST BE DCJS CERTIFIED WITH CARDS IN HAND.

At a minimum, all armed security personnel must meet the following requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Must be a US Citizen
Must have GED / High School Diploma or higher
Must have former military or law enforcement experience
Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in security industry
Must have current DCJS VA Armed Security Officer Certification
Must possess legally purchased firearm in Commonwealth of Virginia.
Prefer CPR and First Aid Certifications
Must have current Baton or Pepper spray certification
Must know PROPER ESCALATION OF FORCE, and be strong enough to handle combative and intoxicated individuals
Must not have criminal record or be on parole
Must possess current and valid photo ID
Must possess reliable means of transportation
Must have working and reliable telephone number
Must have verifiable employment references
Ability to pass physical exam and drug screening
Ability to walk / stand / and climb stairs for extended periods of time
Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language
Ability to interact courteously with the general public
