Part Time Laundromat Cleaner/Attendant (Hopkins MN)
We are looking for a part time employee to come in and perform cleaning services at our new laundromat. What we need is someone willing and open to come in for an hour per day between noon and 2pm during the week.....and possibly work some 4 to 6 hour weekend shifts. Estimated hours per week would be somewhere between and 5 and 10--quite possibly on the lower end of this range. A definite plus would be for the candidate to live in Hopkins, especially in the downtown Hopkins area--as a longer commute does not line up well with the limited hours that we are offering. This is primarily a cleaning job, as in mopping, sweeping, wiping down, etc......however, people skills and retail experience is good, as part of your duties would be to help and interact with the customers, and make their visit a pleasant one. As a member of the Operations team (Inventory and Warranty Service groups), position will have responsibility to work with auto repair and parts vendors to determine, approve and confirm repairs for two major areas: 1.) Customer Warranty Repairs 2.) Inventory/ Re-Conditioning.
1.) Customer Warranty Repairs (For cars purchased by custPosition will take and make calls to and from shops for customer warranty repairs, and using mechanical knowledge, established warranty criteria, cost/benefit analysis, and in consultation with supervisor, to approve and confirm repairs in a timely manner.
2.) Inventory Re-conditioning Repairs (For cars acquired to sell): Position will demonstrate good mechanical knowledge, understanding of cost/benefit issues, and using established criteria in consultation with supervisor, approve and confirm repairs made, and insure that they are made in a timely manner.
This position will research and negotiate with service providers in proximity to new and existing CarHop store locations. May research parts and providers, negotiate pricing and may arrange delivery to service providers. Positions will be expected to display calm and positive professional demeanor with internal and external customers and vendors in meeting our business needs. Position is responsible for accurately entering CarHop inventory information on location, status of repairs, and estimated time of completion, as well as customer information on warranty repairs. Position will provide technical information when necessary. This position requires close working relationships and cooperation with other work groups including buyers, store managers as well as within the Operations Team. This individual must demonstrate company focus and follow established criteria in all decisions and communication, keep the goal of profitable sales and customer satisfaction in mind.
Essential Functions and % of time spent in Major Areas of Accountability
60% Taking inbound calls from, and making outbound calls to, customers and repair/recon shops, then entering location and status of cars/repairs in inventory or warranty computer files
20% Researching and ordering parts to deliver or have delivered to shops
20% Locating, researching, and negotiating with in store locations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in auto repair industry, such as: Service Advising, Service Writing, Warranty Claims or Auto Technician experience is strongly preferred.
Must be able to work weekday evenings until 7pm to cover our west coast operations
Must have clear and effective verbal and written communication with internal/external customers.
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment criminal background check, and results must meet company standards
