We are looking for a retail shop supervisor, preferably 2 years experience within the retail environment.
Would be responisble for developing staff, merchandising the floor, ordering, receiving and inventory.
Work closely with the GM on scheduling.
FULL time position 35-40 hours per week.
Self motivation, meticulous attention to detail, and organization skills are a must!

Outreach Event Lead Generator (Boston, MA)

Summary: Work as part of multi-person Outreach Team staffing events to generate qualified leads and then set appointments on behalf of Next Step Living's no-cost Home Energy and Solar Assessment programs. Full training will be provided as well as all promotional materials and AV equipment for properly displaying at events. Part-time hours and flexibility required with extremely high earning potential available-- no cold calling. Income driven, positive and outgoing people will be the ones to excel.

Must be able to work at least two 4-6 hour events per week (alternate weekend shifts a must). High energy and high producing people will be allowed to staff more events. We are targeting individual earning potential of over $200 per event -- event leaders will earn even more

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Attend Next Step Living community and private outreach events
• Set up, staff, and break down event displays
• Actively reach out to and engage event attendees, educate them on our no-cost Home Energy and Solar Assessment programs and, if qualified, collect contact information and schedule assessments
• Gain familiarity with all aspects of both our Home Energy and Solar Assessment programs
• Attendance/Punctuality - Consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrive at meetings and appointments on time
• Ability to be trained in new techniques and program guidelines when/if necessary and apply those trainings to day-to-day operations

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience:
o 1 to 3-year's canvassing, door-to-door sales or community outreach experience and familiarity with quotas preferred.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team
o Must have own, reliable transportation, preferably with GPS
o Must be outgoing and motivated to learn and teach the public about energy efficiency
o Must have a valid driver's license and accessible vehicle to attend events.
• Computer Skills:
o To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing; Spreadsheet; Database; and Contact Management software.
o Experience with Salesforce customer relationship management software desirable
o Access to or owns a laptop computer or tablet that can be brought to events
• Language Ability
o Ability to work with customers and discuss topics such as energy efficiency, weatherization, and alternative energy resources
o Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community
o Organized problem solver with excellent communication skills
o Knowledge of foreign languages a plus!
• Reasoning Ability:
o Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
o Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Physical Demands:
o Must be able to stand for long periods of time, carry up to 60 lbs and follow instructions

Responsibilities:

• Supervise department staff daily and oversee entire store when appointed floor leader on duty.

• Analyze retail traffic and conversion data to utilize resources to react to current and past sales trends and maximize future sales.
• Distribute staff based upon skills and abilities ensuring each department's staffing levels are met.
• Monitor staffing daily and make adjustments based upon changes to external business factors
• Work with the corporate training team to conduct product knowledge clinics and informal training sessions.
• General awareness of overall local sales environment, competition and newest products and communicate those facts to the buying team.
• Interact and resolve more complex customer interactions.
• Address performance issues and administer appropriate plans for corrections. Collaborate with Store Manager on disciplinary and/or separation actions.
• Collaborate with visual merchandising team on completing merchandising initiatives and maintain high standards of visual presentation and overall brand experience in regards to signage, displays, sales floor organization, product placement and fixtures.
• Oversee store cleanliness (sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, etc).
• Handle minor maintenance issues such as replacing light bulbs, and work with facilities team to resolve other maintenance issues.
• Maintain inventory and stock. Oversee daily product shipments and ensure that product is placed in correct locations and that stock levels are adequate and are not left in back stock.
• Oversee that the store staff follows all store opening and closing standards.
• Administer store payroll including scheduling and approving timecards.

Qualifications:
• At least one year of retail experience
• Proven leadership and motivational abilities.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced customer service environment.
• Superior customer and employee relations skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills --especially email.
• College Degree is preferred.
• Past experience with retail systems such as point of sale, traffic analysis and time & attendance is preferred.
• A passion for sports as a participant, competitor, and/or spectator is a plus
