Healthcare Billing Specialist (FT) (NW Austin)
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Healthcare Billing Specialist is primarily responsible management of the healthcare accounts receivable billing cycle and other accounting duties as assigned. The Healthcare Billing Specialist ensures that all healthcare billing is properly billed for and collected, including claim submission, claim payments, claim follow up, claim denials, claim re-processing, and audits/appeals. In a team effort, this position will also prepare, generate, and execute other accounting duties as described below and as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Essential Functions
1.Maintenance, input, and update of the healthcare billing system to ensure accurate and timely monthly billing for Healthcare Center residents, including processing the claims and collections of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, and private pay.
2.Generates census reports, billing reports/spreadsheets, payment journals, monthly billing cycle closing, and account receivable reports.
3.Performs Medicare, Medicaid and insurance eligibility checks and insurance coverage/benefits through DDE and/or IVR, the TMHP website, and with insurance companies and/or websites.
4.Processes and manages Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance claims, audits, and appeals for minimum denial rates.
5.Reviews healthcare accounts receivable to maximize collections including reviewing and resubmitting previously denied claims for coverage issues, same and similar, missing/invalid submission information, and miscellaneous denials.
6.Perform accounts receivable balance transfers as necessary.
7.Identifies overpayments and creates refund requests.
8.Identifies accounts receivable balances that are uncollectable.
9.Responsible for service requests associated with Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing, audits, appeals and insurance information and others as assigned, with appropriate attention to detail to meet response time frames.
10.Responsible for attending healthcare meetings to assist our patients and staff by providing the highest level of support.
11.Ensures Longhorn Village is in compliance with all billing federal and state rules and regulations.
12.Ensures all medical billing records are maintained according to HIPAA guidelines.
13.Demonstrates positive customer service and communication skills with residents, staff, and all other company contacts.
14.Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant who would like to be a part of a fast-paced work environment. Reporting to the Warehouse Lead, we will rely on you to act as his assistant and perform each essential duty satisfactorily with a positive attitude. You will be trained on our procedures for specific tasks then evaluated as to your ability to complete the tasks efficiently and effectively. Attention to detail, ability to follow direction, fast pace of work and common sense are critical. Experience in a location-based inventory warehouse is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload bobtail trucks
Receive, inspect, and stock product, equipment, and supplies
Un-box, de-trash, separate recyclables including plastics, cardboards. etc.
Issue equipment and supplies
Help maintain accurate records and logs
Track, maintain and repair equipment inventory
Track and maintain supplies inventory
Report accidents and incidents to the Warehouse Lead immediately
Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement
Correct at-risk behavior immediately, then report to the supervisor immediately
Help organize the warehouse and yard areas for maximum use and efficiency
Assist with training employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures
Perform deliveries, as needed
Operate hand tools, power tools, may use bolts, screws, by hand or using hand tools or portable powered tools
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Reliable and punctual
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
Ability to learn new product parts and pieces
Organized
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, for long periods of time, repetitive motion
Ability to pass a background and criminal record check
Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug testing
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
1 year upright forklift experience; certification preferred
1 year warehouse experience including paperwork completion and material handling
1 year experience maintaining, counting, and processing transactions in a computerized inventory
Experience driving box trucks preferred
