The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Program is seeking Family Store Cashiers at the Eagle River (Part Time), Northern Lights (Full Time), Dimond (Full Time), Dimond (Full Time) and Wasilla (Part Time/Full Time) locations. Must have the ability to understand and carry out instructions, particularly concerning the handling and marking of merchandise and the day to day operations of the store. Maintain good customer relations giving prompt and courteous assistance to customers.



Minimum Qualifications
 High School Diploma or GED preferred
 Must have the ability to operate a cash register and monetary transactions with speed and accuracy
 Six months previous retail experience
 Excellent customer service skills
 Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
 Must be able to pass background check

Part-Time Evening Receptionist (MidTown)

The Children's Clinic is a five doctor pediatric group in Anchorage, located behind Providence. We are looking for one part-time evening receptionist to work in a fast-paced environment.

This shift is shared with one other part-time evening receptionist. The part-time evening receptionist is scheduled to work about 28 hours every two weeks.
The schedule for week 1 is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 4:00pm-8:00pm (sometimes 9:00pm). Saturday 8:30am-12:00pm (sometimes 2:00pm).
The schedule for week 2 is Sunday 11:00am-3:00pm (sometimes 4:00pm). Monday and Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm (sometimes 9:00pm).

Duties Include:
Check in and check out patients
Appointment Scheduling
Filing documents
Patient registration
Answer 6 incoming telephone lines

JOB SUMMARY: This position involves general activities necessary for the physical care and behavioral management of individuals experiencing developmental disabilities. Care may be provided at a consumer's home or an approved provider's home or out in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Personal: Must be able to maintain program/guest/agency confidentiality, and treat each individual with dignity and respect. Ability to set and observe appropriate personal limits and boundaries. At least 18 years of age and able to relate well to both children and adults; Demonstrate warmth, insight, interest and respect for persons with disabilities; maintain the ability to cope with emergency situations, e.g. accidents, CPR, seizures, etc. in a calm and efficient manner; have and maintain the ability to carefully follow the program and licensing regulations and procedures; and demonstrate unusual patience and positive attitudes towards persons experiencing developmental disabilities.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year experience delivering direct care services either in a classroom, daycare, medical or residential setting, and possess current CPR and First Aide Certificates.

Skills: able to provide accurate documentation and paperwork for all assignments; able to identify and act upon potential needs of consumer and/or family.

Physical Requirements: The ability to lift a minimum of fifty pounds. The ability to perform a two person lift of an individual weighing seventy pounds.

Other Requirements: A minimum of 24 hours of field related training must be obtained each year. The employee must accept 10 hours of assignments per month to maintain employment. The employee must have or obtain training in G-tube feedings, seizures, administration of medications and oxygen. These can be obtained through training videos, workshops and written materials on each subject.

Must have reliable, consistent transportation to work site. If consumer transport is part of job duties, may need own vehicle.

Training Requirements: Agency and department orientation; 1st aid/CPR; de-escalation techniques; blood borne pathogens.

Seafood Processors – Dutch Harbor (Anchorage )

Bering Fisheries will be at the Midtown Job Center on Wednesday, April 18 at 9:00 am to recruit for seafood processors to work in Dutch Harbor Alaska. Work begins in June 2012 and goes through September/October. Processing mainly Opilio crab and other fish, including Sablefish, black cod, halibut and pacific cod.
8.00/hour starting wage + overtime
Overtime possible: may work up to 16 hours in a day and up to 6-7 days per week
Day and night shifts available
Bering Fisheries not not guarantee the number of hours you will work.
Raingear, boots, housing and meals provided
Transportation to and from Anchorage provided
Wet, cold and humid working conditions
Must be able to stand during an entire shift and work with your hands, twisting your body from side to side and repetitive bodily motions.
Must work closely with others as part of a team
Must be able to repetitively lift heavy objects, usually 10-55 pounds at a time.
Must be able to work quickly in order to meet production deadlines
Must pass reference checks and possible pre-employment drug test
